‘Sustainable Real Estate Investment: Implementing the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement – An action framework’ sets out the measures to improve returns and better protect the future value of real estate investments.
This new practical guide for real estate investors and their professional advisors highlights the issue of climate risk and how this factors into reducing greenhouse gas emissions from property portfolios. The report is a collaborative effort by 6 organisations from around the world, including RICS, United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), UN Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (PRI) and investor groups from Europe (IIGCC), North America (INCR Ceres) and Australasia (IGCC).
