From gamer to surveyor

With the use of technology in surveying growing and research showing that children aged 12 to 15 are spending an average of 13 hours a week gaming, could playing Minecraft or having a gaming background be new criteria on your graduate or apprenticeship applications?

It’s impossible to predict the future, but with technology rapidly being adopted across the built environment, we do know that change is coming. Therefore, as an industry we need to open alternative routes into the industry, like apprenticeships and look at attracting young people with new and different skills; coming up with innovative ways to do so.
